Starting salaries for a welder will start at £17,000 per year on average. With experience your salary can increase from £20,000 to £33,000 (NCS). There are opportunities to become a specialist welder and earn over £60,000 per year. Overtime and the career path you take can increase salaries for welders who are attracted by lucrative offshore contracts.
