Role

The role of a plumber is varied and you will be faced with a variety of tasks. The overall task is installing and maintaining systems for water, drainage, and sewage in plumbing systems.

The main areas are:

Installing or maintaining heating systems (such as domestic combi-boilers)
Fitting domestic appliances (such as dishwashers),
Installing and repairing water supplies and drainage for kitchens and bathrooms
Installing and repairing air-conditioning systems
Emergency repairs.

You can choose between becoming a domestic plumber or a fully qualified professional plumber to NVQ level 3. A trades training specialist will help you and guide you to choose between these two roles.

The training courses will provide you with everything you need to become a qualified plumber.
