Role


The overall role of a welder is the outfitting, maintenance & enhancement of buildings and machinery.

What does a welder do?
  • Joins, fabricates, cuts and repairs metal components to assemble structures
  • Welds components and assemblies using electric, gas or arc welding equipment
  • Follows diagrams and designs with the specifications for welding in plan layout and assembly
  •  Installs or repairs equipment that is part of buildings like pipes, valves and floors
  • Heats, forms and dresses metal parts.
