Role


The overall role of a gas engineer is to install, fix and service household or commercial heating systems and appliances and adhere to safety procedures.

The main areas are:
  • Installing appliances and heating systems
  • Servicing and maintenance checks on equipment and systems
  • Finding and repairing gas leaks
  • Repairing and replacing faulty or old parts
  • Customer advice regarding gas safety and keeping records
